Emails from Soldiers

Received 3/2/07

Hello wood turners,

My name is spc. James Storey. I have received several of your wonderful ink pens. I just love them. I’m a mechanic with the 454th Trans Company, in northern Iraq. I am from Mi. My company hails out of Columbus Ohio. I don’t use your pens at the shop for fear of theft (they are neato ya know) plus I don’t want them all greasy. My wife Rebecca and I both kinda collect ink pens where ever we go. I would especially like to thank your members; Howard & Mark Murry (Texas mesquite),William Holmes (Texas mesquite),Willis(Tuffy)Holland(birds eye maple). Most people might not think about what it takes to create these small tokens of appreciation that your group has so lovingly made but I sure do. Thank you for thinking about us over here, your heart felt act was noticed by at least 1 here.

Sincerely,

 James Storey

I would like to thank you very much for you kind gift of the freedom pen.  It was a great to receive your gift.  I received it right before I boarded the plane to go to Iraq I use it to write letters home to my wife and three girls.  It is gifts like yours that make all the things we do worth while.  Well I have to go but once again I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the gift that I received.  Take care and God Bless.

Thank you for the box of Freedom Pens.  They arrived to our office at the Navy's Fifth Fleet Headquarters in Bahrain and within moments everyone had one for themselves.  We all appreciated the pens and your efforts at making them and sending them to us.

Thanks for supporting us the US military in this way.
