Anti-Lock Spindle Washer

Most mail-order companies offer a plastic Anti-Lock Spindle Washer to make faceplate and chuck removal easier for about $2.00 plus shipping, handling and time. You can go to your local Hardware Store and in the plumbing section, you can buy a slip-joint plastic washer for about $0.50 that will fit 1 1/4" and `1 1/2" spindles. For smaller spindles, "O" rings are available to fit.
